Compendium of Actions for Nutrition (CAN)
The Compendium of Actions for Nutrition (CAN) provides a matrix of nutrition-specific and -sensitive interventions classified by the type of evidence (meta-analyses, primary publications, or case studies) available for them. It was developed by the UN Network/REACH Secretariat, in consultation with other UN partner agencies, and is intended to foster multisectoral dialogue for policy. The document is divided into sections on food and agriculture (including diets), maternal and child care, health, and social protection, then sub-divided into smaller sectoral themes and specific interventions. Each intervention includes a short summary of the available supporting evidence, and a suite of annexes provides the interventions alone for quick reference.
